Acts 10: [34] Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
[35] But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
[36] The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (He is Lord of all:)
I have been told by a young priest, who ministers to soldiers, that the Bible does not explicitly condemn war. We know that the Bible chronicles war. We know God, in the unfolding of His revelation, has intervened in war. We do not know the mind of God, though. We know that in sending His son to us, we finally get to experience His message directly. Our Lord is the completion of God’s plan for us. If to see our Lord is to see the father, and if the only way to the Father is through the Son, then we must look to and enter a faith based on Jesus Christ.
There are many things that the Bible, the word of God, does not explicitly condemn. We could compile a list that would truly be horrific. Are we to then believe that it is blessed to be involved in them, or even benign? No! Do what you are told to do by God’s word, the traditions of early Church, and reason of the Church in the Isles. Do not engage in social pragmatism. Do not invent a God in your image, for you will be disappointed in the end.
God keep you and strengthen you to do His will in all that you do. Keep God’s peace!
2 Thessalonians 3: [16] Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
John 14: [27] Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
